Jonah is a picture of Jesus. There is only one that was greater than Jonah - that’s Jesus. There is a bigger grace we can draw on - Jesus, the one who call out a new name, destiny and identity.

Character of God
But to Jonah this seemed very wrong, and he became angry. That is what I tried to forestall (prevent/obstruct) by fleeing to Tarshish. I knew that You are a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abounding in love, a God who relents from sending calamity.
